The alignment between the reference and measured data will have a significant impact on the results of the inspection. There are two main steps for this alignment: first, the reference and measured object must be roughly aligned. This will generally be done with an Initial Alignment or a Transform alignment. The second step is to refine the alignment with any of the other alignment commands (Datum, Best Fit, etc.).
