Sometimes complicated objects do not completely scan on the first try. Valleys or pits in an object can leave gaps in the data.  Follow this guide to help get complete data.

First scan the object

You will notice that in the grooves there is missing data where the scanner couldn’t see the top of the ridge.

Flip over the part and scan again.

Now the second scan has data that missed in the last scan.

Align and combine the scans in order to create a complete model with all the information present.
