3D scanning can take a lot of processing power from a computer. Aspects of the computer like graphic card, RAM and CPU ability make a huge difference.  There are things that a user can do on their machine to speed up results.  Here are a few tips for faster processing time:

On the computer

- Close all running programs in the background

- Allow for 50GB of free space on the hard drive

Inside Artec

- Go to File -> Settings -> performance and make sure that Multithreading is active and all available cores are used.
- Does the user run registration and fusion algorithms with default settings?

We recommend setting the fusion resolution equal to the max error of the scan. It should be ~1 for Eva ~0.2 for Spider but if you run it with 0.01 it will take you ages no matter how powerful your pc is.
