How to 3D Scan Dark, Reflective or Clear Surfaces

Dark, reflective or clear parts can scatter the light projected by the 3D scanning system.  The main technique we use to negate this problem is to coat parts in a titanium based developer spray.  This process gives a part’s surface to a matte finish.
